Position: Burmese Language Instructor
Number of recruits: 1
Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for teaching courses for Burmese language majors and public Burmese language courses for the whole university. The weekly teaching load is 8–12 class hours. The specific teaching arrangements for each academic year will be coordinated according to the curriculum plans of Department of Southeast Asian Language and Culture and the School of Foreign Languages.
2. Publish 1–2 papers in related fields during the term of appointment (including academic journal papers or conference presentations, etc.);
3. Participate in the development of major-related courses and teaching reform, assist in textbook development, guide students in professional competitions, and actively engage in cultural promotion activities;
4. Undertake other tasks related to academic development and talent cultivation assigned by the school or department.
Application Requirements:
1. Have a good understanding of and a positive stance toward China. Possess strong professional ethics, be honest and trustworthy, and dedicated to the profession.
2. Be a native speaker of Burmese;
3. Possess a master's degree or above in such fields as Burmese linguistics, literature, education, or related areas (candidates whose first degree is in Burmese linguistics or literature are preferred);
4. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching Burmese at Chinese universities or at least two years of full-time experience teaching Burmese overseas.
